Schedulers are programs that enable you to load up your social media queue with content days, weeks, even months in advance. Most work with multiple platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and more. (To my knowledge, Instagram prevents third-party apps from posting content to their site, but still - getting a handle on all the other platforms is a huge step toward improving your productivity!
There are lots of great schedulers on the market: HootSuite, HubSpot, and SproutSocial are just a few of the more popular ones. My personal favorite, which I've mentioned in other blog posts and in my speaking engagements, is Buffer. It works great on your desktop and also has a couple of associated (free) apps, and it enables you to manage a ton of social media accounts easily and efficiently. There's a decent free option available, and then the upgraded plans allow you to pile on the social media platforms, making it a huge timesaver for Firebrand Messaging in terms of managing our clients' accounts.
Here's what Buffer looks like when you're logged in (note: these are all my own business accounts; I removed any reference to our clients' accounts!):
Again, Buffer happens to be my own preference for its usability - its blog has some great marketing tips, too! - but I'm solidly in favor of any program that will get you actively using your social media to benefit your business. And if you'd still rather someone else do the heavy lifting so you can focus on other things, remember we're here to help with our convenient social media and blogging plans and bundles!
